In 99 words (no more, no less) write a story without ice. It can be a world without ice or a summer camp that runs out of cubes for lemonade. What does the lack mean to the story? Go where the prompt leads!

“Want Some Ice With That?”

“Happy Birthday! C’mere gimme a great big hug!

Sorry I’m late. I just got in! Whad’ya get? How ya

doin. You look fantastic! A sight for sore eyes!”

“Thanks.”

“That’s all I get? Hey? Where is everybody?”

“Gone home I guess.”

“You guess?”

“Did you bring any wine?”

“Who me? Only the best!”

“There’s a cork-screw on the sink.”

“I’m on it!”

“Wanna glass or is this a gimme the

bottle kinda thing.”

“I’ll use a glass, this once.”

“So, what the hell happened?”

“They forgot the icing on the cake.”

“Oh boy!  Want some ice in that?”
